An elegant 1940s engagement ring, modeled in platinum, whose primary gem is a one carat oldEuropean cut diamond. This lively,hand-cut diamond (J/VVS) ismounted in asquarish, cutworkbasket, where it is held in four "picture-corner" style tabs. A pair of bezel-set, marquise-shaped diamonds flank the central gem, followed bya pair of round, single cut diamonds. The linear, east/west arrangementof different diamond shapes lends this classic engagement ring a playfulair. The ring's four, small bezels are finished with milgrain edges; itshalf-round shank tapers toward the base. We see an exclamation point in the arrangment of accent diamonds, and a typically-Art-Deco, architecturalgesturein the gallery.
